President’s Corner

Dear HR Professional,

We would like to welcome you to GSMSHRM (Greater Southeast Michigan Society for Human Resource Management).  Our chapter started in 2007 and we are always striving to help meet our member’s needs through education, networking and resources.

There are many benefits to becoming a GSMSHRM member.  We offer bi-monthly meetings on the third Thursday of every other month – beginning in January of each year.  These meetings are scheduled with HR-related topics (most of which are eligible for HRCI credit) that will help you remain current with new legislation, trends and best practices in the Human Resource field.  We also have regular social gatherings to give members a chance to meet and network with other HR professionals.

If you haven’t joined our chapter, we hope you will join us for our next meeting and choose to become a member.   If you are a member and would like to get more involved in your chapter, email me or one of the board members and we will be happy to hear your input and get you involved.

Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds and organizations, including, government, retail, banking, healthcare, education, manufacturing, consulting, sales and employment services. As a member you will have access to a wide range of resources and experienced individuals. Look at our website which offers links to relevant HR news and upcoming events.
